Noosa

Noosa
(R) Again a great place. Never been here before I was not sure what to expect, but looking at the local map, Noosa is a place that is split into many areas. 18/3/16 – 25/3/16We’re staying at the Noosa Heads Motel at the summit of Noosa Hill. Down the hill to one side is Noosa Heads, a great wee village, down the other side is Noosa main beach, (Hastings St). There’s also Noosa Marina (a 15 minute bus journey away), Noosa Civic (main shopping malls etc), and also Noosaville, (halfway between the Marina and main beach). To say this is a large place is an understatement. So pleased we’ve booked 7 nights here. After a day or 2 settling down on the beach etc, we took a trip to Australia Zoo…..Go Steve Irwin. Although I’m not one for zoos, (ie caging of animals etc), this was a brilliant place. Most of the animals are set free and we (humans) walk into their enclosures. I totally recommend the kangaroos enclosures there 2. The highlight for me was the abundance of koalas, I even got my photo with one, I was soooo excited. The zoo, should actually be named a wildlife park.
The marina is a quaint little spot, although we took the bus there late Sunday afternoon and most places were closed. It has a few boutique shops and restaurants all on the waters edge. Noosaville is another great spot along the edge of the river. Lovely walkways with plenty of BBQ set along its pathways for the public to use and grass everywhere so folks can sit and relax watching the various sea going vessels pass by. It’s lovely. Noosa is very easy to get around with the local buses in plentiful demand.
